Altes Brauhaus Bad Berka occupies a brewery building that has been almost everything else in between, now a family restaurant cooking regional specialities and seasonal dishes. It stands in the part of the spa town known as Klein Venedig and opens six days a week, from eleven in the morning.

The house gives its own chain of uses:^[1] the Berkaer brewing association was working here in 1833; by 1906 the building had become a salt warehouse; after that a store and a pickle factory; from 1945 somebody lived in it; and since 1992 it has been a family restaurant.
