Jugendherberge Weimar "Germania"
About Jugendherberge Weimar "Germania"
Jugendherberge Weimar "Germania" is the DJH youth hostel by the main station: a hundred and nineteen beds in thirty-five rooms, from single and double rooms to dormitories, with a dining hall and a group room, run by Thüringer Jugendherbergen gGmbH under Clemens Rösler. The house gives its own distances — two hundred metres to the station and the bus lines, a kilometre to the town centre — and is open all year except at Christmas.
Thirty-five rooms, one hundred and nineteen beds
Thirty-five rooms holding a hundred and nineteen beds, in every size from single rooms to dormitories; a dining hall; a room for groups; free WiFi in the rooms; four parking spaces at no charge. Breakfast is a buffet, and half or full board can be booked on top. The reception keeps afternoon and evening hours, check-in falls in the same window, and the house closes only at Christmas.
Four DJH houses in one town
The city's own listing names the Thuringian youth hostels in Weimar together: this one by the station, the Maxim Gorki at Zum Wilden Graben 12, the house Am Poseckschen Garten at Humboldtstraße 17, and Am Ettersberg, which is booked through the Maxim Gorki. If the Germania is full, that list is where to look next.
