A listed villa of the Gründerzeit years on the Steubenstraße, run as a hostel: single, double and shared rooms with the bathrooms on the landing, a kitchenette for simple cooking, a dining room, a lounge with WiFi, and a generous garden with a terrace and a barbecue. A group can take the whole house. Its guests, by its own list: school and study trips, groups of every kind, families, people travelling alone, backpackers.
The house
A historic city villa with a garden in the centre of Weimar, a Gründerzeit building under monument protection. The rooms are single, double and multi-bed with shared bathrooms on each floor; they can also be booked exclusively as private and family rooms, and groups and families can rent the entire house for their sole use. There is a kitchenette for simple cooking, a dining room and a lounge with WiFi. The garden is the selling point — spacious, with a terrace and somewhere to grill.
Booking, and who runs it
Rooms are booked directly with the house, by telephone or e-mail — the whole villa too, for a group that wants it to itself. The hostel is run by Damon Nestor Ploumis.
