Mascha

The Mascha is a cultural centre in Weimar's old town, run by the KulturTragWerk association and named after the poet Mascha Kaléko. It is a meeting point for café and culture: coffee, cake and dance courses by day, and in the evening a programme of concerts, disco nights, theatre, stand-up comedy and the salsa parties it is known for. Culture to take part in rather than sit through — the room is built for an evening you join, not one you only watch.
