About Erbenhof
Erbenhof is a bakery-café by day and a restaurant by night on the Brauhausgasse, cooking Thuringian dishes alongside a modern international menu. The house sums itself up as restaurant, café, hotel and live culture under one roof.
Four businesses behind one door
This is not only a restaurant. The house runs a café with its own bakery and confectionery, open every day of the year including Sundays and public holidays; an evening kitchen that starts when the café closes; two hotels in the old town, which it says both have direct access to the restaurant and the café; and a concert series. Practically, that means the address is useful at seven in the morning and at ten at night, and that if you are staying in either of its houses you can eat without going outside.
The restaurant that puts on concerts
It runs a series it calls Schallkultur, booking German and international artists, and the concerts happen in the Weimarhallenpark and in the Erbenhof's own courtyard. Tickets go through the house's own shop rather than a general agency.
