About Ausradiert
The house describes it as a theatrical piece of research following the traces of those affected by the National Socialist eugenics crimes in Thuringia — the sterilisations and the killings of disabled and ill people, carried out in this state, close to where the audience is sitting. That a company of young performers has gone looking for those traces themselves is the point of the form: this is not a play about the period handed to them, it is what they found. The title, Erased, names what was meant to happen to the memory of those lives.

The crimes it investigates are the National Socialist eugenics programme as it ran in Thuringia.
The regime wanted Weimar for what its name meant, and it built a concentration camp on the hill above the town. Both facts belong to the same twelve years.
