Open-Air-Konzertnacht mit der Staatskapelle Weimar

To crown the 2026/27 season the Weimarhallenpark is turned into a stage and the Staatskapelle Weimar — the house orchestra of the Deutsches Nationaltheater — plays it in the open air on 10 July 2027. The programme is Italian opera: famous melodies set beside pieces that are rarely performed, under Ivan Repušić. The city's own line for it is that in the atmospherically lit park nature and music merge into a shared experience, which is florid but not wrong — an orchestra of this standing playing outdoors on a July night is a different proposition from the same players in the Großes Haus, and the audience behaves differently too.
