About Recycling Concerto
Gregor A. Mayrhofer's Recycling Concerto puts its soloist behind bottles, cans and packaging and writes a concerto for them; after the interval the Staatskapelle plays Beethoven's Sixth, the symphony that walks out into the countryside and thanks it. Programming the two together is the evening's whole argument, and it needs no explaining.
