Goethe Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten

The Weimarer Kabarett calls this the witty show about the Privy Councillor, and the house means the man the whole town is arranged around. Bernard Liebermann and Thierry Gelloz take him on as a pair, at a speed that leaves the audience few gaps; the billing promises "Weimar mit Witz, Kabarett mit Klassik, Goethe mit Gags". It is the programme the company tours most — half of Thuringia and Saxony has seen it — but the room it was built for is the granary loft above the Kirms-Krackow-Haus, where the audience sits close enough to be part of the joke.
