About Höher, Schiller, Weiter
The title is a pun the German ear gets immediately and the sub-line does the rest: a true ode to joy. Bernard Liebermann and Paul Heller — the second a pianist, singer and composer, which is why this one leans on the music — spend an evening with Schiller, with jokes and with mischief in the back of the neck, somewhere between prose and other inconsistencies. Weimar keeps its second poet in a permanent second place behind Goethe; a cabaret is one of the few rooms in town where he gets the whole night.
