About War'n Sie schon mal in mich verliebt?
Bernard Liebermann and Paul Heller bring the cabaret of the Weimar Republic onto the stage with esprit, vocal force and a wink — the songs and the sharpness of the wild twenties, in the town whose name that republic borrowed. It is worth knowing where you are sitting while you listen: the constitution was voted through in the National Theatre, in this same small centre, and the cabaret this evening resurrects was, within a decade and a half, one of the first things the next regime shut down.

The programme is the cabaret of the Weimar Republic — the house's own description — in the town the republic is named after.
Germany's first democracy is named after this town for an almost accidental reason: in 1919 the capital was too dangerous to write a constitution in, and Weimar was quiet.
