The house files it under the silvered wedding, and the pun does the work: an anniversary that is supposed to be an achievement, examined by two people who have to keep living together afterwards. It runs in blocks in the second half of the season — several nights in a row in late November, then again before Christmas — which is exactly when a German small town is at its most married, between the anniversary season and the family holidays. It is the companion piece to the house's other marriage comedy.
