About Herbstmarkt
The Herbstmarkt is the market the tourism pages do not mention. It exists on the city market office's calendar — 14 and 15 September 2026, Marktplatz — and that is the whole of what the city publishes about it. Read that as a recommendation rather than a warning: a Monday and a Tuesday on the main square, four weeks before the Zwiebelmarkt takes the same ground with a very different crowd, and as local as a market in Weimar gets. What is on the stalls is for the day to tell you; we would rather say nothing than invent it.
