Weimar's calendar is full of markets that arrive once a year and get written about accordingly. This is the one that is simply there: Monday to Saturday, all year, on the Marktplatz — the same square the Zwiebelmarkt takes over for three days each October — and on the Goetheplatz when the Marktplatz is otherwise in use. The market office lists it in one line and the tourism pages not at all, which is precisely why visitors miss it, and why it is the most reliable half hour in the city if you want to see Weimar doing something other than being historic.
