Kunstfest Weimar

The festival calls itself Central Germany's largest for the contemporary arts, and it takes the whole city as its stage: music, theatre, dance, visual art, literature and work made for public space. It spreads across the Deutsches Nationaltheater, the Weimarhalle, the Gaswerk, the Kino mon ami, the Galerie Eigenheim, the Stellwerk and the open-air Schwanseebad, with a festival centre on the Theaterplatz where audiences and artists are meant to meet. The city describes it as the climax and the close of the Weimarer Sommer.
